Three swedish actresses work as waitresses in Oslo one summer, in order to get enough money to start up their own theatre. They meet a world of people who eat expensive food, but who worry. A woman collapses at her own baby shower and a dad shows up with bigger and bigger presents. Elderly men tell the waitresses not to start their own company and a premiere dinner crashes because no one likes the movie they made. About carving out a brave adult life.
